Autocar Showcases All-Electric Terminal Tractor at Advanced Clean Transportation Expo 2022

Autocar’s E-ACTT on display at Autocar Booth #361

Autocar, LLC, proud American-owned and operated manufacturer of severe-duty vocational trucks carrying North America’s oldest truck brand, will be among the terminal tractor exhibitors at Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo 2022. The annual event will be held May 9-12 at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, California.

About ACT Expo

The Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo brings together leaders in the transportation industry with the mission to reduce emissions and create a sustainable future as North America’s largest event on advanced transportation and clean fleet technology. The annual event has over 5,000 attendees and 250 sponsors and exhibitors leading events and debuting the latest technology and advancements in the transportation industry.

ACT Expo brings together leaders of companies, including original equipment manufacturers, and connects them with some of the nation’s largest fleets in refuse, municipal, construction and utility transport. Exhibitors and attendees all share a joint mission to share and learn the top trends, policies and technology changing the transportation industry into a clean one.

Autocar’s ACT Expo Booth #361

Autocar is among the exhibitors at this year’s ACT Expo, bringing an Autocar all-electric production-model E-ACTT terminal tractor. The electric terminal tractor has zero tailpipe emissions yet is as powerful and productive as its diesel counterpart, the Autocar ACTT.

Autocar partners and sponsors Vorza, Auburn University Samuel Ginn College of Engineering, Maxion Wheel, Autonomous Solutions, Inc. and Questar Auto Technologies will also be present in the Autocar booth. Additionally, Autocar will be giving away an E-bike with the help of sponsors to highlight other electric vehicles and technology at the event.

The All-Electric Terminal Tractor, the E-ACTT

The Autocar E-ACTT brings together all of the things operators enjoy about the ACTT terminal tractor with the added advantages of a zero-tailpipe emissions vehicle with zero compromises. As the first purpose-built battery-powered electric terminal tractor, the E-ACTT is designed for maximum uptime, reliability and serviceability.

The E-ACTT’s innovative design includes a cutting-edge lithium-ion battery to meet the rigorous demands of the industry. Vorza and Autocar worked together to create an integrated powertrain in the E-ACTT terminal tractor with unique torque conversion to a battery management system.

Autocar’s Efforts to a Cleaner Transportation Industry

Autocar is the industry leader in green innovation. The road to sustainability and a green future does not end with all-electric vocational vehicles. Autocar is also an industry leader in alternative fuels, offering compressed natural gas (CNG) as an alternative option to fleet managers years before other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

CNG is a domestic resource, entirely sourced in North America, that reduces CO2 emissions by 16 percent and burns cleaner than the traditional diesel engine. In addition to lowering maintenance costs, making the switch to a CNG truck reduces noise and cuts fuel costs by 30 to 50 percent.

Autocar’s green experience and training program help customers capture all the benefits of gas, such as significantly lower – and more predictable –operating costs, less noise, better rear visibility, and the “Green” badge of honor customers appreciate.

Autocar currently has over 9,000 CNG trucks in service and offers alternative fuel engines for each truck model produced.

Be sure to check out Autocar’s Facebook page. We will be posting updates throughout the expo. If you are attending ACT Expo – be sure to stop by and say hello.
