Autocar Scavenger Hunt Winner Announced

HAGERSTOWN, Ind., May 14, 2014 - The winner of the Autocar Always Up Scavenger Hunt was announced Monday, May 12, 2014. Tom Parola, of Monterey, California, was drawn as the Grand Prize winner. He and his wife, Gabriella, received a $10,000.00 dream vacation package. The recently married couple plan to visit Hawaii where they will enjoy sunshine, warm sand, and snorkeling.

The Always Up Scavenger Hunt took place at the recent Waste Expo in Atlanta, Georgia. Autocar employees wore tags with unique codes on them and Expo attendees were able to snap and track these tags on their phones. Each snapped tag was an opportunity to learn more about Autocar and another entry into the grand prize drawing. Participants tracked tag wearers across the expo hall and around local restaurants after hours in a frenzy to win their dream vacation.

"It was a great experience for us," says Jim Johnston, President of Autocar. "The scavenger hunt allowed us to introduce players to our entire team – which is something we like to do as often as possible. We think you'll find a really unique story when you meet the faces behind the trucks."

Autocar is the leading CNG and severe service and vocational truck provider in America, bringing energy independence, economic vitality and environmental consciousness to the North American waste hauling industry.
